A new exhibition at the Museum of Decorative Arts.
Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the creation of the House of Dior, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs is featuring a lavish exhibition of couture creations by various designers. Along with Christian Dior himself, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Chiuri are the great couturiers that have left their imprint on this iconic fashion house.
300 dresses created between 1947 and today are displayed, along with photographs, sketches, letters, advertising material and many fashion accessories including shoes, bags, jewellery and hats. The connection between Dior’s love of art and his fashion designs is also explored.
