Exhibition: Balenciaga, Working in Black

Exhibition: Balenciaga, Working in Black

Fashion lovers, this exhibition is tailor-made for you.

Presented at the Bourdelle Museum, Balenciaga: Working in Black shines the spotlight on the great couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga (1895-1972), and begins the Spanish season at the Palais Galliera.

Black dominates this collection of the creations of the haute couture wizard, whose designs were inspired by the folklore and traditions of his Spanish childhood.

The exhibition is presented in three parts: Silhouette & Volumes, Black & Light, and Black and Colours offer a hundred variations on the theme of black, which the perfectionist Balenciaga saw as vibrant and vital.
